I didn't take a lot pictures with my phone, I have a few from the wife and my buddy. Still waiting on a little drone video I was able to take on the big overlook by camp.
What'd you think of Coalmont? Last overland we did over there in the Talon's we covered basically the entire place in 2 days. I really like riding over there. Lot of cool scenery and places for the kids to get out and play. I want to go back with my kiddo when it cools off some.Yup, definitely still want to get there next time. But it'll have to be one of them days we ride early to have enough time to get back and chill.
We liked it! It was a bit more dry then we'd hoped for but it is what it is, we had fun. I haven't got a chance to look over all the trails we hit but I know for a fact we also did near everything they had on the map. Right now the temps were perfect, during the day it was about 80 but hardly any humidity and at night it dropped down to the fifties, I shut the generator/fans off before going to bed. What'd you think of Coalmont? Glad we could make it happen even for a short time… kids had a blast!Second day

Just looked up the tracks and we rode about 35 miles of the 40 they claim to have..... I'm not sure where the ORV trails end and where the outlaw trails start but that's about what we rode. But......I used up close to a full tank of gas. 80% of everything we did was on manual mode/low gear/4WD the other 20% was 4 Lock. What'd you think of Coalmont? There's a badass trail that comes up that. I stood the Talon up on the rear wheels and decided I wasn't quite ready to die 35 minutes into our trip. I saw some pictures of it not long ago and it looked way more doable than when I tried it. They had just cut the trail to it when @Frogtown and I checked it out.Late Sunday afternoon/sunset ride........was cut short cause the RZR's clutch bearing started to stick and wouldn't let him go easily from F to R.....🤦♂️JUNK....
This spot I think is off of trail 32?? Has a nice small overlook. I'll try and get pictures from my buddy's phone I know he took some.

We didn't have a paper map, just the GAIA app with some generic trails that are downloaded onto it (mostly unmarked/no names) but we were able to find this really nice big overlook we'd been wanting to see all weekend...........about 300 yards from our campsite 🤦♂️😂😂😂

Yeah that might be one of them 😂 my buddy with the RZR stayed real close behind me on some of the crazy spots. I asked him why and he said cause it looked like I was going over backwards a few times and he figured he might be able to stop me from rolling back if he was right up against me. I told him I didn't want to launch a rock through his windshield but we made it unharmed 🤞🙏.......well, he messed up his $1,400 clutch but I guess that's just another Sunday for a Polaris 🤦♂️There's a badass trail that comes up that. Found the pic I'd seen on FB of that trail more recently. It was still loose rock and sand when I tried it:

That looks way nicer than when we saw it. It was just one little spot about the size of two buggies then. They've done a lot of work there by the campground it looks like. Here's some still shots from the drone, the video is on my wife's phone and quality is shît when she sends it to me. I'll try and upload some of it later on.

Yeah it's nice, the campground is pretty nice too. I forgot but I wanted to take some pictures of a few primitive sites to post on their website, they don't have any. I should've flown the drone around the campground areas. It's definitely not a bad place to spend a few days, rocky and rough but worth it IMO. We ran into a local guy on a quad and showed us some videos of the trails when they have water flowing.......crazy!! Completely different place. That looks way nicer than when we saw it. Yeah, it'd be pretty easy to get stuck out there after a big storm if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. The water comes up fast and really moves. Not my picture, but that AC Cave fills up quick after a really good rain:Yeah it's nice, the campground is pretty nice too. He took us around a "black" trail, could've done 90% of it on 2WD, but when it rains he said some areas will have about 3'+ of water. And the creek crossings have some serious currents too

@JayPo has the video of both of us going down the ledge and back up the other side. (NoMo)
Love that picture of your family at the overlook with the sun rays coming out of the cloud.
