I don't think they work as well for the commander application as they do for the pioneer

Anybody thought about the 700 shocks on the 500 since they're a little bit lighter

From what I read based off of part numbers those will be a std shock & spring but I would request the 8 digit part number that is stamped in the shock on the lower portion of the shock body example : 706200780. The 2011 1000 xt which is what I have front shocks are stamped 706200782 (xt yellow model in the notations of parts list). Get the numbers and go from there.

The only difference I found between springs when doing my research was the color.

Going to use 4 per shock. If I can trim them. If not I will replace the fronts with new and have tube made to fit

I was not happy with the rubber ones that were in the shocks I bought. I actually removed the best 4 and put them in the fronts before install. It's that OCD thing.

I got mine to Tram. Let us know how you cut them. I'm pondering different ideas.

Anything special about the grease? I didn't look close but I don't think there was any in the box.
Axle Grease?
Gear Oil?
Johnson's Jerking Lotion?

I'll check when I get home, think it is special. Polyurethane is not compatible with all typed of lubricants. It's in an cup about the size of a 35mm film canister

I bought the shocks from nick1993 they were in really good shape. The bushings look good. Put the fronts on. Raised the front about 2 inches. Now the 30s with the 3 in lift dont rub when going over bumps.

The only issue I have is the rear. I have a 3 in bracket lift on it. If I put on the rear shocks it puts the axles in a real bind. I am either going to have to turn the rear shocks all the way up or remove the lift from the rear and install the xt shocks and turn them up accordingly.
