I don’t know his call or enough to get to get ahold of him in that fashion. I tried everything I could and Plumber32 was trying to for a bit too. Sucks because many of us coincidered him a good friend. Hopefully something didn’t happen or he was someone other then who we thought. Was a big part of the forum then one day absolutely nothing again

Wouldn't count him out, been there done that, I was involved in a site and all hades broke out at work and affected my personal life, all I had time to do was work, sleep and work! Prayers?

Ham tech now and enjoying the hobby, spoke with UK day one via internet link on local repeater. Adding a Baofeng BF F8HP HT. Installed TYT th 8600 (waterproof) in P500, which also use in house. $15 for a 10 year license a good deal IMO.

That TYT is a good fit for the SxS. Antenna mount on fender. Have a few more OEM quick clamps ordered for light stuff on rear ROPS, surprised they were so inexpensive.

FRS frequencies are what most people are programming their radios with.. Not Ham radio frequencies.

There are benefits to getting your Ham license and operating on those frequencies on and off trail.

I thought HAM and FRS both need a licence, once at a certain wattage, and GMRS does not...

Only $15 for ham license exam here, thought GMRS was $90.

Gonna have my TYT in soon and I’m gonna need the program file if someone has it. Let me know and I’ll message you my email. Gonna try and get my license also but I doubt I’ll be able to get it before I head to Colorado at the end of July.
