P1000 Control arm torquing procedure

So I have a new to me p1000-5 (2018) and I just started replacing the front wheel bearings (they were pretty bad). I removed the lower control arm bolts from the frame to make it a bit easier to get the axel out and remove the ball joints. When reinstalling the bolts for the control arm to the frame should I do final torque at "ride height" or "full droop" getting conflicting results with an online search

Ride height. Otherwise the bonded rubber bushings will give a harsh ride and not last very long.

Yes, do a final torque down at ride height, roll the buggy back n forth a few times then tighten everything one last time.....(what I did anywheyz)

Yes, good point, rolling the vehicle back and forth a few feet is necessary before torqueing the a arm bolts because with independent suspensions the tires move inward when lifted off the ground and will not fully settle because of side loading.

Thanks! Seems like a good place to be a part of with the new purchase! Yeah I would like to avoid having to take things apart more than I have to do I figured the brain trust on here would know the answers I don't!

These torque values are for the 22 and 23 models. They have 12mm bolts top and bottom, 4 in all.
Prior models have a single 10mm top bolt - I'm not sure of the value for it, perhaps someone else can chime in on that.

I have a 2018 maybe that's why I'm seeing 47 for the lower a arm bolts

my book shows 74 for all a arm bolts upper and lower frt/rr.
Maybe @HondaTech can shed some light on this

I mean I'm fine with doing .it to 74 just want to get it right lol

I agree. Thats why I denoted that the numbers I listed are from the 2022 model year service book. If they are different for a 2018 someone with more knowledge on that model can verify for you.

I would go with the numbers you found in that thread because there may be some other differences between the 2018 and 2022 that I'm not aware of. You might get some additional input tomorrow when the working stiffs awaken...LOL
