Got insurance on the truck now that driving. Looks like might have to get it appraised then add additional coverage. A few hoops it sounds like. Always something...

Doesn’t Hagarty have classic vehicle insurance, might be worth looking into.
Classic car only really allows so many miles a year and a bunch of dumb crap rules it looks like. Basically driving to a meet to show off your stuff. Same with classic car plates I had thought about doing.
Just got off the phone with our insurance company and they said bring it in so they can take some pictures and we can basically insure it for what we need. Said they’d only value it up to 20 without going in based off market value. Which ain’t bad for 30yo truck but not exactly stock anymore and want enough coverage it’d get repaired if something major happened.
I’ll roll easy till it’s done then bring it in I guess.

We've got Haggerty Ins. on our Duster. We sent a few pics of the restoration and have an agreed value on it. No mileage limitations.

Truck is done. New rear gears, bearings, seals. Detroit locker! f*** ya.
She’s drivable, mechanically sound now.
kind of a picturesque day and I’ve got a big grin.

I looked at website and looked like a lot of restrictions. The truck will be carrying loads and trailers so needs to cover everything. But I’ll look into it!

Got camper tie downs all in. I will do frame mounts later, just needed it done now. I do however like how nonchalant they are

got rear wheel simulators on finally. Much better. Also undercoated rear fenders heavily like the fronts.

And she’s now ready(ish) to load up and go camping. Power windows and door locks work excellent, first time being able to use.
today @100Acre helped with tie downs, always good seeing him. Also had a random guy that saw it from the street and asked wife if for sale, she laughed a bit. He asked a few questions that she answered correctly.

First little bit of leg stretching. Took in 4K of scrap iron from my work. Trailer I’m buying won’t be ready for a minute so emptied the company trailer (my old one) for use this weekend
kinda cool thinking of all the rigs that wind up here, many much newer. Not this ol girls time yet, her life just started😊

Maybe I missed it or maybe to early to tell but did all the sound deading really make the cab nice and quiet inside?
I’ll have to report back on that. I’d say right now it’s a little louder then my 2x4 but rear door panels aren’t on and I haven’t sound deadened the door panels them selves.

She’s got more to go yet just usable. I’ll jump on the camper and clean that up and do a few things too. First though got both Sxs’s needing a ton of chit. Hopefully go on a rest soon but there’s gunna be a few weekends of shenanigans I’ll tell ya that!
