Doing bodywork to the flares from my parts rig. Also cleaning up emblems. In a hurry today because it’s headed to the differential shop tomorrow but it’s got to say Cummins before the trip next weekend

Got the text saying parts are here. Wants me there a day early. Also gave me a warning about break in on the rear end after rebuild. Dammit I’m going to have to baby the truck for a few trips. 🤬

Mama wanted to drive the beast and well you all that know her know you don’t say no. Good news, she absolutely f***ing loves this truck. A more manly truck then most men nowadays want but she handled it awesome. Loves the steering the shifting and kept commenting on how solid the brakes are. She’s happy. Says whatever it takes do it!
First drive and even without door panels,everything still missing and broken rear end mama happy.
I married the right woman to love a manual dually first gen farm rig! Not many of them out there, she already said no issue with camper and trailer, she’ll run it🤗🤗

Wheelwell trim and 1ton Cummins badges installed. Undercoated underneath fenders very thick. I used red rather then orange on the Cummins lettering on emblems and touched them up. Starting to actually look like the ‘93 it is.
Still need the side trim @Tigermark has and red stripe, but other then that front end is completely done. Including under hood.

I never saw a new dually have a break in, they hooked to a loaded big gooseneck and hammered on it. If it's built right send it! Of course that's easy for me to say!🤣 Excellent looking truck!

Truck made it to the last needed appointment on the broken rear end. The guy is cutting into his vacation to do the differential, so very much appreciated. I will hear back in the morning with update. Fingers crossed.

Good news good news!
Truck is done. New rear gears, bearings, seals. Detroit locker! f*** ya.
She’s drivable, mechanically sound now.
kind of a picturesque day and I’ve got a big grin.
3 days and counting.

Drive back to work was good. Pulls like a freight train in 3-4th. Saw 35 pounds on the boost gauge and backed off. Not sure how much more it has but exhaust pressure was showing it has some more.
Got a couple thumbs up and a guy asked how many miles at the gas station before he realized it was a 4-door and then commenced to a bunch more questions. It’s a Cummins town here especially with the older Dodges, just ask @Plumber32 lol. Gets some attention, kinda cool. Maybe good I didn’t paint it colors I’d planned.

I think I was at a stop light with 7 rams all 4 corners. Sure seemed like cummins or Toyota. Isn't the biggest ram dealer there, with the pink or neon lic. Plates?

Yes that’s Dave Smith Motors. Largest Dodge dealer in the country. The town of Kellogg is pretty well owned by them, New Rams in every parking lot for miles. People drive across the country to buy from there. It’s crazy.
