I am pretty much sick of my current camper set up. The pop-up camper is nice but it’s better for three season conditions. Not the best for winter camping especially if you’re dealing with snow loads or freezing temperatures and it only has vinyl walls and a very thin thermal barrier. So today I made the down payment on a new truck camper. It’s a rigid wall camper made with foam core fiberglass and aluminum sheeting. I put a down payment on a Bison Overland Flatbed Camper. I’m starting to need old guy amenities! When it’s all said and done it will look something like this; I’ll post more details over the coming weeks. The Gnome will have a new traveling home! The last picture is my current setup.

Does it have a bucket.
Maybe bucket seats With a trap door underneath. Maybe add some bucket hangers to the sides for stowage…Such buchellic contemplation and conceptualization..not too crappy!

Some updates on the camper build. I’m also having a custom aluminum tray made for the camper/truck. Plus i received the Nomadic AC unit I ordered.

For the headache rack, it’s gonna have a spare tire mount and a space for a 36 gallon extra fuel tank. On the fuel tank I’m moving the two ports closer together towards the outside access so I can fill it and pump it out with ease, especially considering that the cab over from the camper will be above all of that if it was the further 4 feet over that the other port on the fuel tank is located, then it would be awfully difficult to access it. The headache rack will be removable from utilizing the stake pockets that are made all the way around the perimeter of the tray. It would be nice to eventually plumb this extra fuel tank down into my stock tank on my truck but for now I’ll probably just use Either a hand or mechanical pump. This will also be handy for when the camper is not on the truck, but I need to have extra fuel for the excavator.

I’m looking at various heaters. Either propane or diesel…

I’d really like something i can heat the camper with (air) and cook with and heat water for sink and shower.
