P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

@drfubar if you're near your rig today, can you measure the square tubing on yours? Only one I have an abundance of is 1.5". And it's thick wall so weight will be considerably more than yours.

Nah if it'd been a snake, my internal snake alarm would've alerted me lol. I've had bad memory for as long as I can remember (don't laugh). I have a theory based on some actual research I've done in past. My brain knows my memory sucks. So when I see something that isn't an imminent threat, I think my brain dismisses it and I don't notice it. Drives the wife crazy but it's not like I'm doing it on purpose or I can change it. I'm heading for Alzheimer's early it would seem.

Finished a sample of new bumper design I've been kicking around. Not happy. Can't put my finger on it but don't like it. I think it's how I've got the supports even with the horizontal pieces. My other option has them set back some. I'll make them tomorrow and try it again.

One thing is the supports being so close together is making it look bad. They won't be that close together on the rig. It just looks too.......2 dimensional? Does that make sense?

@Delton I think it's an interesting design! Is your primary purpose "Looks" or "Function", because if it's function it doesn't matter what it looks like and vise versa. Just my 2 cents. Can't wait to see you final product!

Believe it or not I was after looks and function. But the looks let me down lol. I think it's a cool design if I can just make it how it looks in my head lol. Tomorrow is a new day lol

I'm 99% sure it's the vertical bars that's throwing it off. I'm half tempted to go out now and make a new one lol. And it's almost 9 lol. Wife would think I've lost my mind. Again.
