Ok guys run on these channels. Thankfully my information was correct been working hard on all this because I wasn't going to let any of you get into trouble. The previous 14 channels are good as well but these frequencies will yield a much higher range. Still not the 20-30 mi possible with license but 3-5 respectively.
It's not to bad to set these up and if any help is needed it takes a second but can get through it pretty well so pm me with phone number or I'll send mine.

If I read manual right, we have to store a channel to be able to use it right?

You don't need to store a channel necessarily once it's up on the screen you can hit the lock button on the lower right and it'll keep that channel. That same lock button when it's unlocked each time you press it will be either low medium or high power for that channel l,m,h. It'll only allow the maximum power output allowed for each channel on high so go with that. (It's basically a power conserve mode but will last a long time)

A/b toggles between upper and lower channels on screen don't worry about vfo/mr. Call is fm radio,moni is flashlight. Really pretty easy once figured out.
Btw it is legal to monitor channels that aren't legal to use, don't talk on them though. Cussing is frowned upon on any but that's like cb.

So basically we all set our radios to the same frequency (one of the ones you listed) and we will be good to go?
