That roof and his tube bumper look good in person tooRoof is done. Gonna run to town to check for rattles and squeaks but I seriously doubt it will. That pipe insulation has a death grip on it.

The one I found has black/white and gray wire. But they shouldn't both be hot. Doesn't it switch the ground to activate?I'm looking for the factory reverse lights plug. Only one I found has 2 wires and they're both bit with key on. What color wires should that plug have?

My understanding was that it makes a ground contact when in reverse. Is that not right? I know on earlier models, black/white is always switched 12 volts. You found it. I don't understand how it works but it does. It boggled me when I went to hook mine up
I've got right plug then. But why is my test light going off on both wires? I'll check again. Maybe I'm crossing both contactsThat plug is at the back of the transmission kind of near the clutch cover. It will be capped off and there is a white wire with a black stripe and a gray wire. The hot wire will be hot all the time the ground wire will be triggered on and off when the vehicle is put it in reverse.
I couldn't figure out how both wires were hot and the light don't stay on. Beyond my wiring knowledge. I hooked mine in there and they work perfectlyI've got right plug then. But why is my test light going off on both wires? I'll check again. Maybe I'm crossing both contacts
Not supposed to check it in park... LOLNevermind it's working. Gray wire becomes a ground when in reverse. Strange that it shows voltage when in park. As long as it works who cares right?

Not a good idea to go connecting wires without testing them. Not a good idea at all.Not supposed to check it in park... LOL
