Decide to go with fox qs3 shocks. Try to contact a few places I heard on here was giving the best price on them but have had no luck, any info on best place to buy would be appreciated

I think that eBay listing is the cheapest I see. Maybe someone will come along and have another source.

I can’t justify it for you but I know that I’d buy better shocks again if I purchased another pioneer.

I’d buy the Fox shocks over the Elka or WE just for the money savings though. I don’t think you be able to tell a difference in the ride unless you wanted Elka stage 5 but those are quite expensive.

I'm in the debate stage right now. I really liked my fox shocks but the Elkas and WE are tempting for round 2. The 2x price of the Elka stage 5 probably isn't going to happen compared to the fox shocks but the squeak of the WE shocks probably would drive me nuts

Pick your poison. I love my Stage 5's! On a P1 you have less travel, so you will have to adjust for the different trails and speed, but that's what the Stage 5's are about, adjustments. If you get the Elka Stage 5's, order two from your home and have some one you know buy the other two for you, that way you can stay under the excise, state tax radar, the threshold is $ 2,000.00.

Elka's will soften the ride as they are custom build for you. They are probably one of the best shock you can buy. You can also look at the 814 shocks, they are cheaper and soften up the ride while giving you a lift. I took my HL off when I installed the 814 and fit 29" with no rubbing.

If you go with the Elkas, think Stage 3's is far as far as you need to go necessarily to get a better ride, I've got the Stage 5's and you won't need them for average riding.
