I’m looking at automotive safety glass windshields for my ‘17 Pioneer 500. I found the Enhanced Metal Products windshield, it looks good (metal frame, powder coated, vents, includes a manual windshield wiper), Their web site is useless- no reviews and when I search their dealer locator of the 3 I found, 2 don’t stock and sell them and the 3d had the email returned.

Cost is around $445.

Anybody have one and any feedback?

I don't have that brand. I have the full and a shortie. I don't like a full windshield when it's nice outside and not raining or hailing. If you go full windshield, get at least a rear soft panel for the cab for dust control.

UTV 801 makes an excellent glass windshield for the P500/P520

It flips up for easy under hood access also.

Highly recommend UTV 801's windsheild. Have it on mine and it is high quality. Lower vent works great. Like everything about it. Best of all its glass not plastic -which even when hardcoated will eventually scratch. spoke with him directly and he gave me full money back guarantee including shipping.

I called EMP directly and ordered mine. Took about 10 days to receive. I've just mounted it and have not rode it since so can't give much of a review other than it goes on without to much of a hassle with two people. It's hinged at the top for access under hood.IMG 1533

Thanks for comments and pictures. The UTV 801 is $569 plus $60 for a manual wiper. EMP is $445 including a manual wiper.

Is the UTV 801 worth the additional $184?

If you contact UTV 801 (hes on this site ) you may find the cost to be very competitive. I can't comment on the quality of the EMP as I've never seen one. But the UTB 801 is a high quality accessory.

he goes by "golden" on here. His name is Fred, and his company is SxSwindshield (same as UTV 801 I think his son owns one him the other or something like that). his number is 801-380-1255. Best to just call him leave message if he doesn't answer. He will call you back.

Nothing wrong with the EMP. My dad has it on his. I have the SXS windshield on mine and would give it the nod because it has the large flip up lower vent which allows a lot more air in and it is easier to access under hood. The EMP requires you to disconnect the two rubber straps- which is no big deal-then the entire windshield hinges up at the top. But you need to wedge it open with a block of wood or something to keep it open while you remove the hood. That and the glass area is a bigger on the SxS. Really both are good products.

Where does the UTV 801 or EMP (sorry for the EMT in title) mount on the roll cage bar? I put a basket meant for the front hood up high. It blocked my view of the trails at night.

I’m trying to figure if I need to remove it to put on those windshields. Not the end of world if I do.

Can somebody post pictures from inside so I can see?

So- EMP’s windshield has no brackets on the horizontal cage tube. Unless there’s some contact with my basket brackets, I should be ok.

Is the UTV 801 mounted the same way in the 2 vertical tubes?

Thanks for taking the time for pictures.
