Not sure if someone answered this, how much harder would it be to pull the VNose 20'Lx7'Tx8.5'W than a 16 ft. I would think it wouldn't matter much. towing behind a 1/2 ton truck?
I don’t think there would be much difference. The extra couple hundred pounds won’t mean much especially once it’s rolling, and the biggest impact on towing is the aerodynamics which don’t really change with the length. My current Ram 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi and 4:10 gears gets about the same dismal mileage when towing my 10,000 lb toy hauler as it does when towing my 2,900 lb 8.5x20 cargo trailer.

I pulled my old 20x8.5 trailer with a 1/2 ton without problems.

I got my new trailer with drivers side 4' x 4 door. It is Aluma 7' x 14' with 7' height. Works great. If doing over I would have went 4' wide x 5' high as can bash head getting back in (just a learning curve that hurts LOL) Just another idea for those who prefer 7' wide over 8.5'. Not trying to start pi**ing match, to each his own.

So you have no issues loading the Talon in the 7 foot high trailer, rear door has room without any issues?
No issues loading the Talon in my trailer, 80" rear opening & 84" interior height, my P500 with the roof & larger tires is actually about an inch taller than the Talon and it also goes in no problem.

my Talon R goes in my Aluma with 7' high interior just fine with stock roof and 32" tires. I would not want a lot of attachments that went above roof height (like spare tire holder sticking up) My extra side door makes getting in & out of the 7' Wide a bunch easier too (see picture above)

Yep. I have an X and a 7' x 14' haul mark. I also have an 8.5'x20' Wells and I love the 7'. Visibility while towing us just a lot better and less stressful. I have about a foot clearance inside and can slip in and out fine. Also no problems with the ramp cables. I run 6+1 front and 5+2 rear with 15x7 STI hd wheels and 15x30 terabyte Aramid. I load it carefully and snug the tires against one wall.

For a minute or two of extra loading time it's worth the rear visibility to me.
How tall is the door on your trailer?

I don't know how I missed your post, I have thought many times about a door on the drivers side just like that. Was it a factory option or custom request? That's one of the nicest enclosed I've seen.

it was added at the factory when trailer was built. Trailer dealer got a quote for me that included it along with the other options like 7' ceiling, Spare tire holder, LED outside rear light ETC. Aluma builds a good trailer. Only thing woudl do different if doing it again is maybe make door taller. Like I said I learned to duck getting back in to unload the hard way LOL.

It is possible to have a door put in your existing trailer at companies that do trailer repair, just have to check & see if better off selling yours & have new built rather than having one installed. For me it turned out better to have new one as old Aluma had good resale.

All Sport | Aluminum Enclosed Sport Trailer makes one, but with angle front lose a lot of storage pace. I did not find great reviews on the brand either, but that was a while back

Jut realized that I hadn't posted our new trailer. Couple of pages back was our 7x16 Haulmark Transport trailer that we converted to a mini race trailer. It worked but I got tired of crawling in and out of the Talon so sold it and ordered a 8.5 x 20 Haulmark Edge race trailer. Got the Sportsman package which consists of a bunch of led lights, upper and lower cabinets, 50 amp electric service, stereo, coin floor, insulated ceiling with aluminum ceiling and wall liners, carpet on lower walls, AC prep, extra height and so on. We love it! So nice to be able to walk around the Talon.

Why is the siding around the wheels, lower than the front and back section. Never seen that before.
