Well... I don't know about my attorney, but the ex wife's attorney would probably own Honda considering how much I pay her :p but in all seriousness yes get a lawyer involved, what's the worse that could happen if Honda won't stand behind it.
Exactly. May spend 500 for a letter, but that letter could net you a whole new pioneer or cash settlement.

Man. I'm sorry to see this happen. As far as I know this is the first report of one burning up like this. Any idea what caused it.

I hope you had insurance on it. Also have you contacted Honda to inform them.

Please update us on everything.
Thanks.

Please keep us updated that sucks

Sorry it happened. Hope a cause is found. Last time we saw something like that was a RZR caught fire and burned down the owner's 5th wheel in Carlsbad, NM.

From the OP's description it sounds like there was a fuel leak somewhere. I think the pump is in the tank like all modern fuel injection systems. I don't know how many fuel lines leave the tank though, just guessing without looking I'd say two, one pressure and one return. Excluding the vent.

How in the world do you have a 15-20k toy with no insurance on it? I'm sorry for your loss, but this is about to be a hard lesson learned. I would not even bother with a lawyer, as you have no tangible evidence.

WOW it literally burned everything but the frame and copper wires. Not trying to be ugly, but I don't see you getting anything from Honda.

I thought I had insurance, but the lady I deal with her father was sick and died so she never did it. I had a bunch of thing insured by them.
I had no reason to think that I didn't have insurance. even if I had insurance there is no way that the insurance company would just eat a 3 week old SxS that was 17k. I am sure that the insurance company would have gone after Honda. insurance companies do not like to pay out money if their a chance it was someone else's fault. second why would I ever think that this would happen the bike was brand new and in perfect condition
