P500 Found a P500 glass windshield

Not sure if it's been posted already but I did come across a glass windshield for the P500. It's from New Zealand, I'm going to see if they'll ship to the US.

I found one a Honda-line one on the Honda P500 page in NZ too but can't find a part number or price. I wonder why they would offer it in NZ but not in the USA?

It's a flat glass in a basically flat frame with a rubber boot across the bottom . Go to a good glass shop and have one made for a third of the price . Make your own aluminum channel frame with four slots for Velcro straps to hold it on . You could even affix it at the top and quick release on the bottom so you could open it up to full open with a rh and lh adjustable brace . Dang ! sounds so good if my plastic one gets too scratched up ........

Trax will ship one to the US, after the NZD to USD exchange rate it puts the w/s about $500 plus shipping. I bet that's a deal killer though, they're going to get me a quote. Any guesses?

Alumalitearmor in US makes a glass tip out windshield in an aluminum frame for P500 & P1K. Heck they even have full aluminum & glass cabs for them as well.

Those are not included with the windshield, Trax calls them "side fenders", I don't care for them either

Nice looking windshield and pics with the lower flap idea (hood access and ventilated roll up?) Saw where Laminated glass is about $15 sqft. If my OEM hard coat ever needs replacing, I would definately go with glass, a laminated piece insert like someone else posted. But so far, hardcoat has held up pretty good this past year with branches. Just hate the dust/direct evening sun glare.

My local windshield shop will replace the fold down portion of my plexiglass windshield with laminated glass for $65. As soon as it is scratched up it will be replaced with laminated glass.

The glass windshield is pretty cool, but I’d rather have the bed they offer in New Zealand.
