P500 Frozen Reverse Cable

The reverse lever cable on my Pioneer 500 has frozen so it won't go into reverse.
Can anyone show me where the cable connects on the motor or transmission?
Is it possible to override or manually move the part at the motor so I can back the SxS out of the garage?

Update: I ran the SxS for an hour with the cover on it and the reverse cable thawed. Then I implemented the cable hack shown on YouTube to effectively disable the reverse protection.

The machine will now go into reverse without pulling the lever. Apparently, it is impossible to reverse while the P500 is moving, so it should be fine for now.

I was going to tell you that you can over ride it but I see you found out already. One of the cheapest and easiest mods that all P5 owners do right out of the gate. 👍

I think you found an effective mouse eradication method . You’ll know in a few days if you had any in there.
