Talon glass windshield

I'm going to pull the trigger on a full glass windshield within the next couple days. As of right now I am leaning hard towards the EMP. I like the vents and the fact it comes with a wiper already installed. I looked at the UTV801 but not convinced on the vent application and it lacks the wiper. The honda full glass is pretty much out for the lack of vents.

So.....what's everyone's take on this one? Looking at ordering direct from EMP unless someone else knows a cheaper route that's in stock.

Thanks in advance for the suggestions and opinions. This will be the first addition to the Talon X. Its got less than 10 miles on it but the Illinois winters are cold and that wind is not forgiving!!!

I have no experience with the 1000, but will say, OEM is likely a very good option as well and that's nothing against EMP. I would go ahead and consider a rear one, even soft, because the dust, etc., really enters the cab with the front windshield installed. I know from experience, the rear is a very nice addition with the front closed off....

I just took a look at the EMP windshield.
I personally think it is a very poor design compared to the factory windshield.
You are loosing a very large field of view to the sides.
You can gain a little air under the center portion of the factory windshield or put side wing deflectors on and direct the air where you want it.

I'm new to the sxs world so I'll see how I like it. If it turns out to be an issue then I'll sell the EMP and get a factory Honda one. But I do like the idea of those side deflectors. Nice looking machine ya have there. I just ordered the Bandit springs too. See if I can't make the low speed ride a little nicer.

I don’t personally care for the wide frame that obstructs an already reduced, as compared with the Pioneer I’m coming from, visibility.

I have that one, works fine, the vents are nice. Haven't really noticed any issues with visibility or durability, even bashing through tight pinion/juniper packed trails here in Utah.

I think the honda one just moved to the top of the list. (Availability is also great being as Alaska shipping is insane)

don’t get me wrong.

I maintain the mechanical components of my rigs very well.

the cosmetic part not so much.

Ride hard and hit it with speed. (When the kids aren’t riding along)
