Well guys, I'm a noob here... I know this is an old thread, but I just spent the last 2 days off and on reading through the whole thing...
All I can say is you guys are SERIOUS about havin' fun with these Honda buggies!!! Mine is used mostly for around the farm here in Southeast Texas and hunting. I have it customized, but good grief, I ain't in the class as you guys by FAR!!! I have so many new ideas now for mine, it's gonna keep me busy for a year or two!! I'll be retiring at the end of 2022, and will be full time having fun and playing with my 2 grandsons (9 and 11 years old)... Saw a lot about all the goin's on at HondaSXS on the various YouTube videos, so jumped over here to see what it is all about... Can tell right now, y'all gonna cause me to spend WAY too much money playing with mods/upgrades and such!

This has been a great thread to get started on and my thanks for all of your efforts to document it so well!! This weekend it's the dual battery thing and rewiring my bird nest of wires... MrGlock, mine would probably make your before pics look tame!! :)
I've already put a 2.5" Hilifter kit on it, spacers front and rear and have BFG tires on order that are supposed to be in today (29")... I have the winch on the front, a Tough Country front end replacement and light bars, custom split top and a few other gadgets, all intended to keep me dry and help me hunting or working around the farm...
Looking forward to following along on your other threads...
My wife doesn't know it yet, but she hates y'all already!! 🤣🤣

Hit a milestone today...

Then literally 2 miles later...then f***er breaks...upper a arm bolt...an upgraded 12.9 bolt at that!

Was going about 30 mph...jerked me off the road and cut my brake line. Gonna have to call Jaks and get a new one.

Which nuts are you running with the 12.9 bolts? I've only broken the driver's side and I've only broken the bolt when the nut backs off. I'd recommend double nuts on bother upper control arm bolts and red locktite.

Nylon lock nuts...that could've been what happened but I honestly didn't look at it that hard.

You have weld washers on those too right? Glad you guys came out of that safe.
@Neohio had some of these kits made up for the 22 TO and I believe the Club store has them now, weld washers and bolts. The P1's need them.

So Todd called it...bolt wasnt broke. Nylock nut backed off. Not sure how or why...but it did. Got it back together and back home yesterday. Put on a new brake line and she'll be good as new. If u hadn't put gussets on the a arm tabs I'm pretty sure it would have ripped it off the frame.

@ToddACimer how are those new tie rods holding up, I am sure they are way better than the old ones - any of these bending that you have heard of?
