That DRF gate is nice.
It is, and it’s probably the route I’ll go. That Warhead one is nice too and there’s no support arms to the hitch area, but I’m not sure if they even make them anymore. DRF is probably the route I’ll go. Just another long wait.

Waiting a few weeks is no problem for you young guys but it really sucks when you're in your mid 80's. I plan ahead and try to have everything ordered and ready to install. Two of the guys had to quit riding in their early 90's. Another one had to quit riding his Mt Bike, but he still takes his dogs on a 5 mile walk a few times a week. It does give us hope and helps us exercise to stay in good shape.

Do you think the front tires are going to come in contact with the inner fender wells when the suspension is compressed and the wheel is turned?

Edit: especially because it's the new model R with the shorter wheelbase

They might a little. I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Hopefully not the hard way. 😬

Couple other things to think about. The tires do not stay square to the wheels at low pressures and side load situations and any kind of mud buildup on the tire or inner fender is going to reduce your clearance even more. The arms also move back as they move up due to the anti dive built into the front suspension, so that's another factor to consider as well.

You might have to consider running a set of older model year upper and lower front arms in the future if you want to keep that tire size and have clearance.

Makes sense. I was talking to my buddy at CA and may end up going that route eventually. Hopefully it’s not sooner than later. I know that @Coeus is running 32’s as well, but he has LV on the R4, 2024 as well though. He hasn’t reported any issues.

I wanted to upgrade to 32's but with the extra weight of about 250 pounds I'm going with 30's. The BFGoodrich KM3 tire is 29.5 tall so it should be ok for the 4-seater. My rear tires are worn out at just over 4,000 miles. The front tires are still in good shape. I'm going to use them for the spare tire.

Looking at the latest pics I posted the extended flares and mudflap give the illusion that there’s not as much clearance. There’s more than appears.

Good point - these things are not the bestest in terms of HP - going nutso with heavy tires really kills the fun factor at times

Confirmed no apparent issues that I’ve noticed

So, if there is a valid concern running 32’s on the new R models……why would a lot of dealerships be selling new Talons with 32’s installed as a package deal?
