Major General 2024 Talon 1000R-4 Build Thread

Purchased a 2024 Talon 1000R-4 (T1KR4) Fox Live Valve Red this week and working on the accessory list. I have about 42 other build thread open to determine which items to get and will continue to update here with any updates.

One major roadblock for me is that there are not a ton of aftermarket accessories specifically marked as 2024 T1KR4 compatible. Some items you will have to check for 2023/2024 Talon R (suspension like a-arms, trailing arms, radius rods, etc...) and Talon X4 (frame related like skid plates, windshields, etc...). In addition, some items are impacted by being a Fox Live Valve (not totally sure why in some cases).

Speedway short tube shocks - Delivered [gave them to @gparks] Stiffer Sway Bar I want to send my 1000-X4 shocks to Weller for a respring and re-valve. I tried to get by without them. $500 of plastic later after 1 stump. I ordered those. I beat em and not even a dent. Textured black can get touched up perfectly with a can of bed liner spray and look new every ride!

I have had really good luck with our 3 AED sets. I also have a set from Craig Spilker (FB guy) that seems to be just as good. Really any of the quality cage builders, like Warhead, make a heavy duty one that will hold up to our abuse. The mass produced ones are not strong enough for how we ride. My oem rear bumper looked like a demolition car before I pulled it off. I gotta have it strong to hold up to my kids slamming them in to trees and rocks. They drive like a bull in a china shop….well I guess I drive that way too!!🤪😂🤣

Awesome… thanks for the input… didn’t like how the SuperATV ones bolted in the middle… I was still thinking about adding outer rock slides again like I did to the Pioneer.. I’ll have to find the post/pick and link
