I used is as the lower attachment point for a custom spare tire carrier I built.

Any pics of the custom spare tire carrier without the tire on it?

I'll try to get a pic of the finished mount tomorrow or sat. It was very tricky getting the plate in position working around the tire. I ended up hanging the tire/wheel/mounting plate where I wanted with an engine hoist and tacking 3 flat straps to hold the plate in position. Then pulled the tire and fitted 4 1.75x.095 DOM tubes.

I just picked up four weldable split collar tube clamps to use as the attachment points to build my own tire carrier. Just not sure how I want to tackle it yet, but I want it to allow me to open my Packouts without too much extra effort.

I just picked up four weldable split collar tube clamps to use as the attachment points to build my own tire carrier. Just not sure how I want to tackle it yet, but I want it to allow me to open my Packouts without too much extra effort.

I can open my PackOuts with no problem. I only used 2 split-collar clamps and a bolt down plate for the lower mount. Fortunately the Bosman rear bumper had 4 bolt holes with weld in nuts. I did use longer bolts and back them up with lock nuts.
