Yes, but the 170 is lower and has a way lower center of gravity.

I agree that if the Ace is off the board, a midsized ranger may be the best choice.
i mean the ace is literally a four wheeler with a roll cage. its like a 170 but a ft taller give or take with alot more power. for a kid youd be better off with 2 seater than the ace. hell some of these guys here cant keep the 1000 off it side on flat ground

My vote is still a p5 with 1.5” spacers and 4-3 offset wheels can’t beat the reliability and you can always customize it when they get older.

I'm liking a p500 also
But I'm checking around and see what's available. If I get another machine I will be up to 5 machines !!!!!!!

That’s why I’d keep as many as possible Japanese. Maintenance will be cheaper with more longevity and resale. For awhile we were up to 9 every weekend and the only stuff I could running were a few Yami’s and the Honda’s. Putting any decent mileage on the other stuff was impossible without constant upkeep .

Yeah, it is. I'd bet it's also more stable than a 500. I'd bet many quads are.
If we're going to widen out a 500 with wheels and spacers, then in many ways it's ideal, but I don't like the thoughts of a young, relatively inexperienced Pilot in a dead stock version crossing ruts or on sidehills.

i dont know about that. the ace i seen riding around sabine atv park seemed to always be on his side. a stock 570 ranger or 500 pinny are pretty stable compared to the ace. little heavier and wider too.

Unless it was the same driver running it in each machine, that's not a fair comparison. I mean, the driver of the ace could've been someone like @Smitty335, @JTW, or @Kilo427... if you'd reverse the drivers, the ace may have made it up just fine and the 500 would've been on it's side!

New SxS are tested and rated by government mandate.
Quick internet search:
ACE 900xc tip over angle (green tag) = 42 degrees
P500 tip over angle (green tag) = 33.5 degrees

@JTW results may vary.:rolleyes:
whats the 570?
