@JTW @CumminsPusher have y'all used the axles he's talking about?
I definitely didn’t have luck with the 8-Ball. Only made a few hundred miles on each. Went through 3 before moving to Rhino. Lasted much longer but finally just snapped one. Personally had the best luck with factory but am switching out to 2.0 in the nose and try them.

It’s for a rear axle but the process is going to be the same. The bolts are different size for the brake caliper bracket from front to back
@joeymt33 I was just doing some more research while waiting for my rear outboard boot to come in and read somewhere that the inboard had to be removed in order to get to the outboard boot. Is that the case? I did not order the OEM pair, but just the outboard All Balls from RM. If so, I need to get it ordered soon to have time for the work.

That’s not true at all. Just watch the video that you found earlier and you will see that I am disassembling the outboard only without removing the inboard parts

Thanks @joeymt33 for the videos and other info. I kept thinking during the repair ..... "this is going too smooth", since I normally always seem to run into unexpected problems. Everything came apart and back together much better than I expected. But then, nearly at the end, the beast raised its ugly head! Although it was my first boot too replace, even to this novice it seemed the boot was too large in diameter on the big end. After Joey verified the correct part number it was obvious RM had sent the wrong boot!

RM is sending the replacement, said it should be here Wed, but now I have to break the CV apart again. The good new is I know the practice will be beneficial to me .... lol. Oh yeah, almost forgot ...... even after get the old boot off, I was not able to find the tear that caused the leakage, it had to be very minor. 9981714b004b63c8613ef8ba1714659aD239cf4a0ce456b637dc315ebbfe8b3261e3c12757f6c42edec56a425a0ca06fFb8d726f7bbac33f10aae0f077cd0e01

Good job old man! 🤪. I've been working like crazy with this COVID19 s***, going to take a couple days off middle of next week for sure to go check out Sicily. Made the decision today, so still working out which days and my plans but it's happening; I'll keep you in the loop

I was possibly thinking along the same lines. I was looking at RM site, and saw All Balls 8 Ball Extreme Duty Axle for $158 and wondering if anyone had used them/had opinion and thoughts on quality.
I've been running them for 2 years and not 1 problem.

Had the same grinding noise the other night. Noticed the axel looked off. Bearings seemed fine? Bought all balls to replace it.
