It serves its purpose for myself.
The farm roads, when dry, are powder. The only options are half w/s or no w/s. The full w/s on the Ranger creates such a vacuum you end up eating dust if you go over 15mph. Even the tilt out w/s on the crew has a vacuum when going faster. The half w/s solves this issue for me, but also directs air flow off the extremities which will prove valuable during whitetail hunts in January. I don't mind a cold face, but keeping the frigid air off the hands and reducing circulation in the cab is valuable when you have miles upon miles to get back to camp and it's 10 degrees. Like everything else, it has its plusses and minuses, but the benefits for my application outweighed any negatives.
