So here's the scoop:
I want to put 28x10x12 tires around the whole machine while keeping steel wheels. The guys at the local dealer said that all I would have to do is buy 2 of the same size wheels as the front, slam them on the back and I'll be good to go. This isn't making much sense to me. Wouldn't that change the foot print of the machine to a more narrow stance? Either way, what do I need to accomplish this mission???

If you want to rotate your tires then you need to keep the rims the same in the front and back so yes you would have to buy two rims. If your not going to rotate then all you need to do is put the tires on the rims you have.

Exactly what I did. Put 28 Evo's on the steel rims I had and they work great.

Ok, so you just put 28x10s all the way around with your existing 12" rims and everything squared up nice? And in the even I buy the 2 rims that match the front and put them on the rear, I won't need spacers or anything to keep the foot print squared up? Thank for your help guys

Not sure what you mean by squared up but they work quite well. I did an alignment on mine right after I put them on and it's been full speed ahead ever since

The rear track width will be about two inches mores narrow on the rear vs the front. It won't cause any problems for you. Some people opt for the spacers to bring the rear tires out to match the front.

Do you know are the wheels the same on the front as the back? I mean could you have bought rear wheels or the front. How do like your set up?

I am looking at putting the same tires all the way around and I would like to just buy three wheels, one for a spare. Did you just put new tires on the stock wheels or did you buy two new ones. I'm looking for some help.

Offsets appear to be different so I would guess spacers would be needed if replacing 2 rims

If it were me I would price buying a whole set of aftermarket vs what 3 stock wheels would cost.

Any thoughts on front tires 10" wide and rear tires 11" wide or go with 10" wide all the way around?

Are you doing the same size wheel all the way around? If so, go 10" so you can fully rotate them!

Yes I was thinking 14x7 5.0+2 all the way around. Might have to add 1" spacers to the rear.

Do it and go 10".. that's what I will eventually do. Only real benefit of the wider tire is the load capacity goes up.
