They'll be bright enough, just remember to aim your headlights. That's the main thing. As far as plug and play couldn't get any easier and yes you can go back, just unplug.

These kits aren't cut and splice at all. You take your bulbs out put hid bulb in and plug the setup in. That easy! They're under 30$ I'll see if I can find one that looks like the bulb will be slimmer. You can get accessory sub harness for back up light. It's made for backup alarm and in reverse it would light up.

I can't find the Opt7 with "866" bulbs.

Are you sure that is the right number?

Yes , positive http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0118I9H5G?tag=sxsweb24-20

pick 881 (862, 886, 894). It peferctly locks into socket, but as I pointed before the portion of the bulb where the wires come out is straight and you will need to cut out 3/4" up to 7/8" hole in the cover cap to allow to fit it and the bulb supplied with rubber plug that would fit very tight.

Another good experience with OPT7 , that I burned bulb when was installing and they promptly sent me another 2 bulbs, and even doubled them, because I emailed via amazon and via their web support, so I've got 4 bulbs :). They also replace for free all parts for 2 years under warranty.

Looks right. Apparently it's a little more dinking around in the 500 then the 700 or 1000 standard but doesn't seem like much more and it'll be reversible if needed. I'm sure you'll like the upgrade really a big difference. Throw pics up when you get done:)

Everything looks better after that much.. Back on a serious note, I ordered the 5k and now dont know if that's what I want so I ordered the 6.5K, good thing is truck takes the same light so I guess it gets the leftover. I'll put one in both sides of the Pioneer for comparison and post pics.
I ordered the 6k diamond white, just tried them out and I like the color, it will light up the snow banks very well.

Now I have to get the part #'s for plug n play wiring harness kit I will need for a reverse light. I might need to put a light bar on the front cuz the light is slightly blocked when the plow is in the up position.
heres the new tune box I got for the p5: Log into Facebook | FacebookLog into Facebook | Facebook

I did this mod today on my P700. It looks better and it's brighter but the pattern is terrible. Makes sense though as the housing wasn't made for this type of bulb.

Do these models of HID require the capacitors? I just want plug and play, but can't seem to find the opt 7 6000 without the capacitors included.

OPT 7 does not list them but they did come with them but you will have no use for them, the system does not have any error messages or blinking problems.

So plug them and enjoy :) ( without capacitators). Use only two bulb and relay that they supply and two ballasts, but connect only ONE P500 bulb socket to the supplied relay. !

Ugh....I thought that the OEM plug from the 700 headlight wiring harness just plugged in......not prepared to add anything that would void the warranty for sure.

You got it wrong, the harness that comes with OPT 7 kit will not void your warranty, why it should? And yes OEM plug from p700 light it the right fit to that harness that has adapter. May be I call it differently (harness/relay) , but it must to connect all system together.

Question..How much power do these HIDs draw compared to stock. I want to eventually add light bars, winch, stereo, etc. I think I'm probably already overwhelming the electrical system. Will these help or hurt?

What is says if I remember correctly it draws 30% less power then regular bulbs. I did not notice any problem with lights on, no gear shifting issues, I've used winch with them also. I highly doubt you would.

I hardly image you using all gizmos at the same time, unless you gonna plow snow at night with all your lights on and having stereo bashing :))) so your neighbors know that a nice guy helping them out in the snow storm .

My voltmeter reads above 14 V when all works together (HID lights, winch) when p500 is running. Only thing that gave me a trouble was cheap portable electric defroster vent, that was a amperage sucker :). Only works with higher engine rpms.

Is that the Opt7 conversion kit or is it the other one that's listed? Plug and play?
