Know off the top of your head what bulb fits an 08 Silverado? I hate the lights in my work truck so why not?!
I don't particularly like yellow light.. So I'm going with the 5k. I love the headlights in my new F150.. I'm going to have to see if I can find what they are.
Just looked it up. Looks like H11. So type in that and hid kit.Know off the top of your head what bulb fits an 08 Silverado? I hate the lights in my work truck so why not?!

Just look up bulb type and eBay or amazon that followed by "hid kit" lots of brands are ok I'm sure but very good luck with xentec so far. Gm might require a code cancelling unit I'm not positive you'd have to look that up. Pretty sure ford is still good.I don't particularly like yellow light.. So I'm going with the 5k. 16What year f150? HID or halogen? My '14 f150 has approx 4300k.
I use 3000k for the fogs.

It's freak'n awesome! Very noticeable between the two trucks!Probably 4300-5000. Those trucks do have good headlights.
I haven't sat behind the wheel and experienced the new LED head lights though.

Do you use 35 or 55 in your Honda? If you're truck requires dual filament bulb, Highbeam and low beam from the same bulb then you can use bixenon. Hid doesn't have the ability to dim or brighten so bixenon uses an electo magnet and a reflector to change light output. Works well however can vibrate and look like a loose housing over time for off road applications.
35 hid is far brighter then 55/60 halogen but you can go 55,75 or even 100 hid but the last two can melt your housing if plastic and you get flashed by oncoming traffic with above 35 usually but for 55 you can aim the headlight down just a little and be ok
That's what I needed to know! Yeah, we can't ride on the roads here anyway.I've got the factory led housing but had thought about going to the non deluxe housing for hid. I didn't use 55 on the Can-Am or p700 because we are street legal and travel highway occasionally. You could get by though. If you're only off road then go 55. 55 will put out probably 4 times the light as factory pos.
How have the HID bulbs done for You? Thinking about doing this to my 700-4. Looks like the color is very similar to the lite bar.I just finished installing a HID kit on my Pioneer as well. Took 15 minutes to do both sides and looks 1000 times better! Just in case you can't tell, stock light is on left and HID is on right. I ordered mine off of Amazon for $40 with overnight shipping (link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008YFTZMC?tag=sxsweb24-20 ). They're the 880 bulbs in 6k color.
They're awesome! Holding up great and they match the light bars damn near identically. How have the HID bulbs done for You? Thinking about doing this to my 700-4. Looks like the color is very similar to the lite bar.
