Does any one have the two piece hard coat? If so, are both pieces hard coat?

Check the pic and video. The lower piece is not hard coat and scratched easy. The top piece is very durable.

I think this one was packaged wrong. I need to talk to my dealer.

@Justin_Pack_SouthernHonda

Have you had a chance to look into this? It's getting worse. Considering the cost of the hard coat version, I don't think it should be this way.

Ouch, I'd definitely be getting with who I purchased it from... Any updates?

Not saying this is the case but I have ran into a couple Pioneer owners that were told they purchased the hard-coat windshield to find out after investigating that they had the ole switch-a-roo pulled on them and paid the hard-coat price for the optical.

My 700 two piece was the same way. Asked my dealer about it and only top part is hard coat. Mine is also scratched.

I haven't heard back from them yet but I've only texted. I'll have to call to get an answer.

I'll keep this updated.

That's sucks, I hope it's not the same way. The bottom needs to be hard coat too.

Does anyone know of a way to treat the plastic to make it hard coat?

Mine, on my 700, is the same. Top holding up good but the bottom is looking pretty poor. In for ideas.

@Kenjones21 Paper towels = no no for use on cleaning polycarbonate.

What is everyone else using to clean theirs with? The chemicals you use can also have a negative impact on the polycarbonate finish.
This could be the problem for those that are having issues.

Technically. Your dealers 'should' have recommended what to clean it with and or told you what not to clean it with, at least per Honda's written recommendations. But that's just my opinion as many just try to throw the keys at you and say goodbye without a thorough pre-delivery on the ins and outs of the machine and the fine details.

I rinse with water first! That's the important part. Then I wipe with wet paper towels. Never used cleaners. I didn't have any scratches on my P700 windscreen doing it that way.

I wipe mine with microfiber. I keep a couple towels in the glovebox all the time. I have bought so many for vehicle cleaning I have plenty of extras.
