Last pics of my critters that are still with me ...

Socks adopted me in April of 2016. I found her hunting over a baited field (she was under my bird feeders). She started to run away but didn't go too far and had a bad limp. I snuck some food out to her, but she would not come close and I figured she was gone.

The next morning I about fell on my face as she was doing figure 8s around my legs ... adopted.

She is still somewhat feral. She will come to me and I can pick her up, but if anyone else comes by, she gone! My neighbors know she exists because they can drive by and see her on the porch.

Had a rough life before me and is missing a toe on her left front paw and lives outside ... but I have no issues with snakes or moles.

Doc, just because I have a few don't mean I cannot hate them too. We have a real feral cat issue round here and I for one may have hypothetically "disappeared" one or two that could not be trapped and fixed .... hate seeing animals overpopulate. Mother Nature can be a biatch.

On edit, hate is not the right word. Defense of my fur kids with some compassion for humanely dealing with an issue is a better description ...

I guess that makes me the "crazy cat guy"

My mother lives in Brevard, slightly less left than Asheville. I live just North of Columbia, SC on South Carolina's best kept secret - Lake Wateree.

But that is one tasty brew.

Also always bring home a bunch of Oscar Blues when I visit my mother.

That's a good cat, stays outside. Otherwise not a cat person.

We always had barn cats, sometimes dozens, but it seems like they regulated their own population.
