Ok the 500 has been out for about a year ,My question is how many hours and miles you have on it and what repairs you have had to make mechanically to it ? l have 68 hours on mine with 850 miles haven't had to do anything but normal maintenance .I sure some of you have a lot more hours and miles, just wanted to know what you had to repair or fix ,to give the rest of us a heads up on what to watch for, hopefully nobody has had any problems, after all it is a Honda!! Thanks

1,600 miles,200 hrs. Took it in for service at 800 miles the techs checked the valves and said they needed adjusted and the air filter was really dirty. The only problem I had was I lost the tiny o ring when changing the oil and the screws were too tight under the seat where the filter is.2500 miles as of Jan2016

A little over a year old, right at 1000 miles. It's been from over 13,000 feet up in Colorado to butt deep in mud in a south Arkansas swamp (elevation about 130 feet above sea level). It's had regular service and no repairs.

21 hours 82 miles and having the clutch springs replaced. Would cost when down shifting

Close to 1300 miles here, just the oil changes and minor clutch adjustment. Oh and I had to replace the nut that holds the parking brake cable.
All in all no problems.

Over 1000 miles, on it. Caught it on fire, had a tree come through the floor, and fell in a hole in a creek and it shut off! After applying zip ties to the floor, 5 oil changes for good measure, and wiring my light bar correctly this thing doesn't miss a beat. I do have a loud pop noise when turning very sharp on concrete at low speed but I think its related to a bearing in the axle, I have the axle but yet to replace it because it's working fine. Overall, I'm happy and this is why I bought a P500 for the abuse it receieves hog doggin in the deep south.

I've not heard of anyone else report that the valves actually needed to be adjusted when checked!

On my pioneer 700, I did the valve adjustment myself at 100 miles. The valve specs were .006 on the intake and .013 on the exhaust. Mine were both at .012 so the intake was way out. At the 600 mile service, they had not changed.

Ok, that's just the first I've heard and have been asking.

I've got around 2000 miles on my foreman and never checked them. Not sure why I checked the pioneer.

On the new pioneer 1000, I may not check it unless it has a problem or noise. It was just so easy on the 500 and 700 I did it. The P1000 is a different story.
