That's what our founding fathers had in mind when they started the good ole USA. Most of my family lives up north and often we bicker back and forth about politics. But in the end we all get along like most dissfunctional families should, but it seems like this concept is lost among politicians(and alot of democrats since Trump became president)(had to throw that in there). They have forgotten their real roles, where they came from and why they are there.
I've taken several tests to see which party I most agree with, comes back Libertarian every time, the Libertarian party just doesn't have the big money backers or have put out a strong enough candidate to over come the shortage of money and I think you have to factor in the media. I'm really surprised that Trump is president, the Dems really alienated Sanders voters by supposed submarining Sanders campaign and I think they just didn't vote. Hillary could have been president very easily. I probably feel like the rest of you, I want to vote for some one I really want to vote for. I think we have had very poor leadership for too long!

The libertarian party needs to get 5% of the vote to get matching federal funding. In August of 2016, Johnson was polling at 11%. It was very encouraging. Not that he was going to be president, but that he was going to bring the party the money that they need. Unfortunately, by Election Day, he brought just 3.5%. Too scared were many of his supporters that Trump or Clinton would be president and they bailed on him. Maybe next time. If you’re a libertarian Smitty, or favor that ideology. Then vote libertarian.
Btw, 26% of Americans are registered as republicans, 29% are registered as democrats, 44% are registered as independents. If the independents actually voted independent, we wouldn’t be talking about Clinton or Trump.
I was one of them, scared! You can thank the Dems for that, submarining Sanders. I think Trump will have a second term, he's a guy that just can't keep his yap shut, kinda like me. When he should. I don't get into the tit for tat issues, I look how the country is, where the country has been and where it's going with current leadership and VOTE! Dam Reps will have us in another worthless war before long, mark my words! Dam Dems want to educate illegal immigrants at our colleges for free! Good grief!
I probably will stick my neck out next election and see what happens! In my opinion The Dems are crazy and I think the Reps will win without my vote. Sanders was a little to far out there, but the machine would have controlled that. All forms of government have good points, why can't we combine them all and govern?
Yep, me too. I knew 100% that Hildabeast was bad and feared Trump was just talking and would really turn out to be another lib. I am sooooooo thankful to be WRONG about him. He has done more good than I ever expect and TRYING to do more, but being held back by the worthless R's in Congress. If Congress was worth a crap, there would be money for the WALL and illegals would be on the way out!

I think President Trump will be good for our nation in the long run, I think he has slowed down running our nation into Hades in a hand basket by a lot, all of our other leaders have let foreign leader dictate terms on every thing. I had a over bearing customer several years ago demanding certain billing and job schedules, I just looked him in the eye and asked, now why would I want to do that, he looked at me dumbfounded and couldn't give me a reason. HA! I could go on for along time, but won't. This thread is about getting out and vote, please do!
Hmmm. Trump promised to pay off the national debt in eight years, he’s already added 1.5 trillion dollars to it. Now that 19.8 trillion dollar debt that he was so concerned about when Obama was president is 21.5 trillion. He mocked Obama for running a 400 billion dollar budget deficit, said he’d run balanced budgets, told us it was easy. On his first opportunity to demonstrate that, he signed a TRILLION dollar budget deficit. He’s punching our allies in the nose and blowing wet kisses to our enemies. He’s demonizing and threatening American manufacturers and starting trade wars with our allies. He tells us to buy American and hire American, but the Trump brand is all made over seas and his properties are staffed with foreigners. He mocked Obama for signing too many executive orders, but has already in less than two years signed more than Obama did. He ridiculed Obama for golfing too much, told us that he won’t have time to golf as president, but yeah, he’s golfed much more than Obama has.
Don't think President Trump had any options, Sanders would have quadrupled it. I'm not going to get in to a debate that there is and will never have a solution too, it's a waste of time.
