I'm pretty much happy with my 1000-3. I think it's a great machine. But I would like Honda to change 1 thing. Please lower the whole transmission down a bit. Make Low, High, and Reverse gears lower.
What would be your 1 request?

I would like to see low range a lot lower and reverse lower. The gear ratios in high range are fine for me sometimes I may want to go a little faster.

No Pioneer yet but from what I'm hearing from you and knowing our riding style is pretty much the same. I'm going to agree with you.

Since I can only ask for one thing, my request is for their atvs. Lose the dang pushrods!! Go back to ohc like the old 300s. I'd buy a new one in a heartbeat if they did. My 2nd choice would be for lower gearing (especially reverse) for the 1000. Its way too hilly around here to not be geared low.

Ok, I would like a bigger brake pedal. I notice the Pioneer has a tendency to drift back or forward in steep places. Those of us that are use to a clutch pedal (old guys) like to left foot the clutch, feather it to engage transmission and then move right foot from brake to gas. With the pioneer I am going to have to learn to left foot brake and right foot gas.
A bigger brake pedal could solve this issue. I think other manufacturers have larger brake pedals.

I aint worried about changing that's not something that happens often. i want a new SxS. A 1000cc sport with Fox shocks and a better tranny than whats on the Pioneer 1000. 12' of travel in A arms.. Nice seats too. Full skid.

Maybe not in SC but in WV it happens often and can be quite dangerous. Lol.

LOL when the WHOA pedal is already 4x the size of the GO pedal and it gets even bigger reminds me of this:

Wow that is too funny. I loved those old cartoons. I'm sure they are not politically correct today!

Make the dash board larger! I would like to be able to read it! (I find myself looking for reading glasses to actually tell the information on the screen!)

I would like an emergency brake assist. Putting it in park is great but even all cars have an emergency brake you can stomp on or pull if on a hill. ???
go to Jeggs or summit racing install a line lock Problem solved!! not that expensive or hard to do ( so u would flick a switch then step on the brake as hard as u would like it to hold one way check valve solenoid operated) then when all done flip the switch and solenoid release the brake pressure and good to go!!!

If u hooked it to full time power with a fuse u could use it while unit was off as well!! but if u left it on eventually it would run battery dead but so would a lot of other things lol

Thanks, sounds great. Unfortunately not that mechanically inclined. Took me forever run my computer and smart phone to work without shooting it. But appreciate your useful input. :)

u could have the line lock on all 4 wheels 2 wheels one wheel etc. If u had it hidden u could use it while it was warming up or something so it couldn't be stolen for those of u that are lucky and are allowed to ride on the street! (hidden just under the dash easy to get to and hidden. I might do it on mine and so a write up on it!
