After using my P700 for 5 years with manual diff lock (very difficult on my old shoulder injury) and now switching to an SE i4wd , I wouldn't drive anything else.
No need to get butthurt about it, it was the only time I've ever seen the magic 4WD not "magically" work. I didn't feel the need to take a picture of the guy sitting there with nothing happening, it was simply an observation that I shared. I have no doubt you've pulled lockers out with your i4WD and I'm sure they appreciated it. Did you take pictures?
Me neither, that's why I mentioned the only time I'd ever personally seen it be a hindrance.Hardly butt hurt.
No pictures of pulling out lockers either, because I haven't. I don't bs about stuff I don't know first hand, owned, ridden or tried.
Unlike 99% of I4wd opinions.
For what it's worth, I don't think Honda had stuff like this in mind when they designed i4WD. This nasty s*** is what all the parks down here are, that's why I head to the mountains to ride .Hardly butt hurt.

I agree. I'm an old school kinda guy and frankly I don't like any of the new electronic stuff on my Delux. I get pretty worried going into the back woods way off the beaten path and wonder, if I blow a fuse or something in the computer goes on the fritz, will I be able to walk back for help when the engine quits or the transmission decides to stop working. I liked the good old non-electric carburetors and transmissions. Lots of times I'm just out there with myself and a passenger, I'd feel a lot more at ease if I was with another SxS to have each others backs.Welcome to the club BTW.
I would say it all depends on the price. We ride with several i4wd models and they do excellent.
I think many lean towards the non-i4wd is because they don't like all the extra electronics controlling things.
Night and day difference. Power steering and fox shocks will be a tremendous upgrade.I am getting ready to trade my pioneer 1000 3 seater basic with 15k miles for pioneer 1000 3 seater le hope it's right decision. Honda does have some 17 and 18 le models for less than 2020 deluxe
