I've been shopping for a P1K-5 here in Arizona for some time. All I can find is MSRP + this + that + other things and I am looking right at $19K just for the machine with nothing on it for a non-delux

So after looking at what everyone was getting their P1K-5 for in Chatanooga for, an idea came to mind.

I am looking at saving over $2000 if I were to go to Chatanooga and buy it there. Now if I were to pull a trailer with my F-250 all the way to Chatanooga I would eat up all my savings with gas and motels and food

This is my question, what do you guys think if I were to fly to Chatanooga, buy the P1K-5 and drive it back to Arizona?

Man if you're brave enough to drive it back to AZ, I'll throw in a free ride from airport to the dealership lol.

Hey @Delton we should start up a collection and send it to Chattanooga for @Buckshotaz. Maybe pioneer owners along the way could GoPro and cheer. It'd be a c-movie but updated version of Smokey-and-the-Bandit. I'd give up my left nut for that!

Tires! I didn't think of that, and what about oil change? Looks like a stop in east Texas will be needed
1672 miles and I wouldn't even be going through east Texas for tires. The map said I can do the trip in 24 hours? But I don't think stopping for tires is part of the calculation? This looks like I need to think about this some more

I'm curious as to how far one could get trying to make that trip, before the law got em lol. Maybe take 2 weeks off from work and take nothing but back roads.

If you travel 1672 miles in 24 hours your average speed would have to be 70mph. Plus you'd need to do 3 oil changes on the trip and I don't think holding your new P1k at a high rpm for that many miles is a great way to break it in...

But man what a fun trip that would be!! until smokey catches you

I think it's around 7.5? We get 15.5-20 really dependent on terrain and speed. If you stayed 40-45 on freeway you'd probably get 35-40 though:) at 65 not so much

You need to get the white one,put California plates on,Eddie-Bauer emblems on it and kill a woman they seem to chase that stuff for hours at low speed!

I see the point of driving 40-45 mph down I-40 would not be a safe idea? I'm thinking back dirt roads? How can I map out the roads to take? The more I think about this I'm not sure about 3 oil changes, tires and dirt roads????
