Hi everyone,

Mike from Oklahoma here. Just picked up a 2015 P500 camo with 212 miles for $4500. Came with some nice RevArc trifold ramps, full windshield, bimini top (I think, they never used it), and weatherproof cover. It seems to be in very good condition as it was used to push start a sprint car and ride around pits it’s whole life.

How did I do? I plan to change the front and rear final gear and engine oils. I’ll also pick up a new filter to have a spare in a zip lock. Anything else I need to inspect, purchase, or service before taking on long rides?

Great community here, glad this resource is available!

Thanks in advance!

212 miles is only double the break in period of the motor. I’d say you scored a great deal at $4,500. Congratulations!

Howdy Mike. I am Mike from Edmond OK. Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a very good deal to me. On a long ride, you might want to get a tire plug kit, and one of those 12V compressors that will plug into the acessory socket. Having it will insure that you will never need it. Plenty of beer in case you break down, or in case you don't break down. ;)

Agreed! I’m usually the one saying that. Just took these about an hour ago.

Welcome Mike from British Columbia, Canada.
Whoooaaa sounds like an excellent deal to me! My 15 has ran flawlessly for nearly 3000 miles of abuse. Very reliable Honda product, so much fun to ride and personalize with your own mods.

Excellent resource forum here, great guys lots of really cool mods and ideas.
Happy trails,
j

Welcome @mikear, You need a hardtop, wench and real tires for starters then dump the factory skids and put on a good one.

Thank you guys. I’ve ordered Honda GN4 10w30 oil and OEM oil filter (with o-rings), pro Honda gear oil for final drives, new (spare) No Toil air filter, and some pro Honda antifreeze.

I noticed my coolant reservoir is at the bare minimum. I’m wondering if there was a leak or just never got topped off after break in. Is this normal for the reservoir to be nearly empty after break in? I’ve used the search function and can’t find any info.

Thanks again,
Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike. I'm digging the camo and you got a great deal IMO. I think they do go through a little antifreeze but nothing drastic. The only time I've ever noticed anything is when I'm plowing in the Winter, get a slight whiff occasionally.
