We haven’t had any issue... we were just told that if you’re not street legal stay to the side roads as much as possible and don’t be out on them after dark.
Ya. We were pushing our luck tho.

Not really.. I don’t know how many officers waved at us. And I pulled up behind some troopers that had some people stopped on a ride back to camp well after dark one night. They don’t seem to care if you’re not being stupid and out during daylight hours. Even the locals have said that.

Each to his own. Living in a state where there are thousands of miles of trails at hand, it is very convenient to not have to trailer to trailheads, not to mention riding into town for fuel and food. The majority of the land here is public land, both State Trust, and BLM. Also, when I go to Glamis I don't have to worry about green sticker/red sticker, as they accept AZ registration/OHV(not for street though).
Not to mention connecting trails with roads. That's one thing that really sways me towards the p1000 next time around: the speed to keep up with traffic.

There is already a surprising amount of aftermarket stuff available and a ton in the works
From the little bit of research I’ve done.Kawasaki itself has close to 15,000 dollars worth of factory accessories. That does not include the 6000 dollar turbo kit that’s coming out, factory approved.

From what I see,There’s no ft bumper,in my opinion u need one.It has a factory metal skid plates.better than the nothing thing that came on the pioneer.Any how like the pioneer going to have to put a couple grand into it .just for comfort.Mechanicaly they look very solid.

What is the thickness of the factory plate? Is it FULL coverage?

Probably 8th in...and yes they are full coverage...as well as solid inner fender wells.

Kawi learned their lesson with the Teryx recall, not sure how stick intrusions hasn't been a larger issue on more UTVs. Our GM's friend had one comoe through his Talon passenger side, it was really low and luckily no one was riding with him. The Talon "specialist" at Honda paid for the part and labor and had us ship the panel and even the stick to him. Apparently that was big thing for them, to avoid cab intrusions.

I'm not a fan of metal bottom skids, if they ever need to be removed they can be a bear to reinstall. I like the Factory UTV or other similar skids for protection, they sure suck for changing the oil, but i'll take some inconvenience over bashing a new hole in my oil pan.

I agree.. I’ve been putting together an after market parts list. An extra 2k is about right. That’s still less expensive than most others.

Saw my buddy’s new krx on the trail finally this weekend and it’s a beast. He went into the dealer leaning hard to a talon r but after driving both he chose the krx. Build features, size, and smoothness (engine, clutch and shocks) had him choose the krx. It’s not going to win many races that’s for sure, but it is plush and smooth

No machine is perfect but the KRX is still at the top of my list if I were in the market. Joining this site has cost me a lot of money!

Not to change subjects, but earlier in this thread the Kawi was compared to the YXZ.
Now that the YXZ XTR is coming out, what do yall think? XTR has a new lower gearbox, larger wheel bearings, stainless brake lines.

We have set in the Kawi several times. I like its beef, but the finish was not Honda. We have been looking hard at the X3 RR RC...but i could almost buy 2 of the Kawis for one of those...

The wife hates the Pioneer for how tippy and open it feels.

The problem with the pioneer is that we all want it to be something it’s not but it sure does give it a good go. I still think the pioneer is the best dual purpose machine out there.
