Are the factory LED's much brighter than the halogens? Are they worth the money to upgrade to them?

I swapped out my halogen bulbs with Genssi Elite H13's. I don't know if they shine any further or wider but the crisp white is much better than the yellowish glow of halogens. I had to stretch the springs on the headlight adjustment a little but otherwise it was plug and play.

I want to confirm that these H13 led bulbs were a replacement for the P500 factory 862 headlights. I just spent 30 minutes on Google searching for a headlight cross-fit table and struck out. Hence my question.

I installed an led light bar pointed right in front and the stock headlights pointing forward are almost yellow in comparison.

The 881 led fits a P500.

Much whiter, I can’t say about distance visibility differences until I get it out at night.

Thanks for the help.

I installed the LED's and the low beams are great, the high beams not so much. Are the factory LED's brighter than the LED replacement bulbs?

I did a night ride and while the led bulbs are whiter, it’s hard to tell if I had better visibility 20 or 30 yards in front. However, when I flipped on my 30” light bar it looked like daytime in front and it didn’t matter.

Since I’m not looking for highway lighting, but holes and rocks on atv trails when I’m hunting and driving in pitch blackness- I’m calling it good.

BTW I installed a 5 led license plate light for my perm license, and it does a nice job giving some illumination when backing up.

In my opinion yes. LED doesn’t have the penetration of halogen or HID. It usually requires more bulbs for the same light. For a LED to project correctly it requires separate reflectors for each bulb. That is why led housings have the burners spaced apart and separated instead of multiple in one housing (like putting a replacement bulb in halogen housing) that way the light can be focused better.
Factory bulbs in the Pioneer are very low power so the LED is slightly brighter then the halogen but it’s because LED is more efficient. Just can’t focus that light which kills penetration some.
As far as replacement bulbs I’d suggest HID which is far superior for penetration power but in halogen housings it does scatter the light a bit. The factory LED headlights are designed around LED so they do work pretty well. There are also aftermarket replacements for the Pioneer that are close to a third in price. If running on the road much I’d suggest those. For trail use just turn off those power robbing headlights that don’t really do much anyways and get some spot/flood LED bars and be done with it.

I had the lamps adjusted (they have a rotational adjustment) incorrectly. Now they are so bright people flash me when I have my low beams on.
