Picking up a new to me toy hauler Saturday! It's one of those with a 20' camper on the back and a deck on front. Going to add a little to the deck so I can pull it on frontwards instead of the side.
A friend of mine has that setup and absolutely loves it. He rides dirtbikes but is going to get a pioneer soon and said it fits no problems

It says the deck is 8'wide x 8'6" long. Guess I'll see when I get it home. How did he have his loaded?

He actually doesn't have it yet but told me it'll fit with the back wheels towards the hitch. He's planning to buy by fall.

I have this to get me to where I can camp and ride. If I can park it at a state riding area for the day that works too because I can have lunch or take a shower before I head back home or to a campsite.

Been a while since I've posted a pic here. So I'll try again...

I took this pic today.

Here's another pic from a road trip for work. I take pictures of my mileage for each trip and turn it in on an expense report. This was early this week. Not bad for a 4x4 crew cab lifted on 34" load range "E" tires.

? for any RAM owners...Just got a 7 month old 2017 RAM crew cab 1500 Laramie 5.7 hemi MDS, 4x4. Only had 6900 miles, $38k. (Decent price?? Any RAM issues I should know about??). What a difference after driving my 2000 chevy Z71 for 17 years. Trailer is next for those random retirement trips with the P500.

Good job mudder! We love ours however we had a loaded 2012 Cummins Mega cab dually before this one and it was a monster when it came to towing! The HEMI is good, especially with the 8 speed and we opted for the 3.91 gear,2wd and a trailer brake. But you can't beat the Cummins for towing, it never downshifted on hills.

Was that at 75-80 mph or 60?

That was interstate from Detroit to Guntersville AL. Mostly interstate with slow downs in the cities. I’d say 75 max speed as the truck had only 100 miles or so when I left the dealer up there.

The time in the pic also included all the stops made for a couple meals and restroom breaks. I definitely wasn’t going 60 on the interstate.

With the engine 8 to 4 cylinder cut back “eco” modes (several brands), wondering how much of a difference it makes in real world driving?

I can't really tell any difference other than the "feel" of it. Actually I wish it did not have it.

I see chevy did alot of redesigning for 19 in the half ton segment including an inline 6 3.0 diesel thats supposed to be well over 30mpg. Hopefully they can sell this truck well below the 3/4 ton diesel prices.
