I looking to have a custom front bumper made where the winch rests in the open and on top of the Bumper and I wanted to see what others have come up with. Thanks.

Mine is a work in progress, I used the SATV lower part (it is rated for a 3500lb winch top load) I bolted a 1/4" plate with recover points and a 20" light bar. I will end up building something different for the light bar and head light protection, time is the issue right now, I am out of it.

@ToddACimer uses the warn bumper I think, it has that option and he likes it.

That's true. It's an expensive way to get a bumper with almost no front end protection, but it has awesome tow points and a convenient winch mount. With the addition of the Warn plow mount, it has a decent skid plate

Just couldn't bring my self to spend money on a winch plate. Plus I hate the idea of possibly having to dig for it and like them easily accessible. Stiffened up the bumper on the inside of the bumper with some angle and tubing so the factory sheetmetal won't bend in the event of a bad situation.
