Why take the 5 its heavier....just for the roof? Not for my 1000-5, no. But if this is going to be an issue, perhaps I’ll take the 1000-3 instead.

I figured so.You’re not gonna see any rattlesnakes on the Magruder.
I lived up there for over a year, then lived in Grangeville another couple, plus I’ve been back just about every year since..
Never seen a Rattler.
Moose? Definitely.
Black bear? Yep.
Elk & deer too. Regardless what you read, there are Grizzlies, there are several Wolf packs, and Coyotes everywhere.
But no Rattlesnakes.
Yeah, I found that IDPR will mail me a permit sticker, but the restricted vehicle plate comes from DMV and so far I’ve been told that’s an in person requirement, but I’m still waiting for a return call from a supervisor.I didn't have to in May of 2017. You can get a permit through the mail. Here's a link to viewing the whole IDBDR but it gives you a zooming Satellite map of which the MC route is mapped. It's the east-west red line.

Mainly, and it’s new, with all the earlier problems corrected. But, I may yet take the 1000-3.just for the roof?
Just throw your 3 seat plate onYeah, I found that IDPR will mail me a permit sticker, but the restricted vehicle plate comes from DMV and so far I’ve been told that’s an in person requirement, but I’m still waiting for a return call from a supervisor.
Ok, that’s something I do not need mama to see, care to edit?Regardless what you read, there are Grizzlies,
Yeah, and a thorough LEO checks VIN. That’s probably worse than showing up without the RVP and perhaps just getting a ticket???Just throw your 3 seat plate on
Meh.. just pack accordingly.Ok, that’s something I do not need mama to see, care to edit?
No worries. It’d be nice to meet up but que sera, sera.....I’d love to commit, but at this point I can’t. Our summers are so slammed.. add to that, a bunch of my sport bike buddies are doing a 7 day ride late August.. not sure if I’ll be able to do either. Time will tell.
Right, I’m not concerned, but mama is a member and will sooner or latter be viewing this thread and I’d prefer for her to see what’s in print on the subject, that there are no grizzlies in the region...If you don’t mind.Meh.. just pack accordingly.
First of all they aren’t going to wonder if YOU stole it and check and second you own both rigs “it was a mix up”. We’ve ran for years without plates. Last year with @100Acre we got stopped on pavement only after pulling up alongside asking directions from Trooper , I was driving without license on me or plates only proof of insurance on phone. Wife had beer in cup holder, she was sited and he told us which way to avoid highway and we rode off. I think you’re over thinking Idaho.Yeah, and a thorough LEO checks VIN. Not worth the risk just drive in early and get your plate.Yeah, and a thorough LEO checks VIN. That’s probably worse than showing up without the RVP and perhaps just getting a ticket???
I’m always in search of an excuse for a road trip and would gladly run up from the south into Grangeville to pick up my RVP in advance.Just throw your 3 seat plate on

Well drive an extra few hours then and I’ll show ya aroundI’m always in search of an excuse for a road trip and would gladly run up from the south into Grangeville to pick up my RVP in advance.
I appreciate that CP, but I’ll be legal when I arrive.First of all they aren’t going to wonder if YOU stole it and check and second you own both rigs “it was a mix up” it’s Idaho my friend. That’s a distinct possibility!!!Well drive an extra few hours then and I’ll show ya around
Why not just get your local plate? You don’t need Idaho plate just a plateI appreciate that CP, but I’ll be legal when I arrive.
