I'm finally part of the cool kids club and got myself a Talon! I've pretty much blown the wad on the machine itself, so parts additions are going to be slow. I'm also very new to all of this so any guidance/feedback is always appreciated as I start adding parts. I wasn't going to do a thread but thought maybe my novice thread could help other new members. 🤷‍♀️

Other Items I'm considering down the road:

TurnPro Signal Systems from Club Store
Skid Plates - doing research between SuperATV and Trail Armor
Winch - probably going with the Viper 6K pound from Club Store
Harnesses - doing research on brands and 4pt vs 5 pt
Seatbelt Bypass from Club Store
Bosman Front Bumper
Dirt Road Fab Bed Extender
Sound Bar
Dual Battery & Additional fuse box?
CA Tech Shift Gate
Hillbilly Brake
Mudbusters
10-80 Pre Filter
Tree Kickers
Frame Stiffener?
Tires & Wheels?
Honda Talon Windshield Wiper Washer Kit by Extreme Metal Products
Tablet & Tablet Mount (Tramguage suggestion: Trey Brock for Tablet Mount - Member here)
Some type of communications - hard wired vs. handheld??
Auxbeam

Just drive it as is for now, When things break, then explore upgrading.
These things are TOUGH as is.
Only weakness is the lack of skid plate. That is more important than trailer hitch or windshield.
Skid plates are going to be my next order. That and a winch are top of my list right now.

All 4 of my Hondas have had the Trail Armor skids, make sure and get the model with extended side plates. They will go a LONG way in protecting the sides without having tree kickers. Get the trailing arm guards also.
Also think Trail Armor is have a closeout sale right now.

And yes you will love it.

Im going to be the outcast here and say, ive had the SATV skids on all 3 of my Hondas and beat them to $hit and never had an issue.
Plus you can beat the discount that either the bossman had or @SuperATV gives you and even better when they run a sale and there customer service😉

So would you not suggest tree kickers if using the Trail Armor skids? I like the idea of not having them but want to make sure the SXS is protected.

Yes I do not like tree kickers, they actually make the machine wider. The skids will extend up the sides a few inches to help protect the fenders and sides. The plastic will also slide easier on rocks than the steel tubes.
