I had routed a hose from the engine to the front for the SuperATV heater while I had the skid plate off. I also made room for the blower & heater core assembly while doing the wiring, but never took time to finish the installation until last weekend. The process is a PITA for most steps.
Drill 2 1/2" holes in the dash to install metal plates and nozzles. Fine except the nozzles are 2 11/16" on the outside! Die grinder enlarged the holes, but made a mess.
The 2 1/2" holes are fine for the lower nozzles.
The hoses are snug on the nozzle barbs, and getting them on the blower plate barbs is difficult. Attaching the plate to the blower with the 2nd battery in place was tough.
Raise front of vehicle and drain coolant. Nope:
I wanted to use the coolant flow out of the oil cooler instead of the flow to the radiator, so I put a 3 way T-port valve in the oil cooler hose:
The coolant out of the heater goes to the lower radiator hose. I didn't install a coolant flow valve; I'm waiting to see if it's necessary.
