I know this has been asked and I have looked at many posts and pics , I havent found and good fixes. So I have a p1000-5 with Honda 2 piece windshield and soft doors. Has anyone found a good mirror or alternative clamping spot on the front bars for side mirrors? Thanks in advanced. I know there’s someone here more creative than me. If that’s you please post pics.

Does the split windshield have a spot for a clamp similar to the full windshield?

Yes, there is room for a mirror clamp with the honda signature 2 piece windshield. It is tight, but can be done. I just installed my windshield yesterday and got the mirrors to go back on. I too am interested in the original post and question. I intend to install fabric half doors and wonder what options there are for mirrors.

I figured it out.

All hail to the king.

Just kidding but I did get this to work.

These were cheap “”Kolpin” mirrors from Amazon. Like 45$ for the sides and rear view , I used there existing hardware (has to cut the bolts down like 1/2” ) and drilled a 3/8” hole in my plastic door skirts flipped the mirrors upside down and bolted them down. With doors installed I can see 100% of the driver mirror and about 85-90% of the passenger. The plastic door skirt was a little flimsy so i reinforced it at the top with some high tech wizardry.
I went for a perfectly legal trip around the block and could see great. They fold in flat for storage if your trailer is narrow and when there out the doors clear them perfectly. These mirrors are very light. I was going to use some lighted mirrors at one point but I think I’ll let that sit for now because there heavy and would probably crack the plastic over time. These mounted with a Allen bolt small metal washer on the inside and a rubber washer on the outside. Hope this helps.

DM me with details on where to send tips. $$.

@bdrescue, can you see the passenger side mirror well enough with the upper doors on? I need a set of these if so.

Mirrors <>Soft Side Windows Closed <> Vision is Poor At Best.

Think OUT of the BOX.

Locate the Mirrors <> FORWARD <> to be seen through the Windshield
Takes a little imagination & fabrication ( CLEAR Vision is worth the Effort )

I’m just give up my mirrors when I put my doors on for the winter. I may have to incorporate some of these ideas though.

Hi. I really Like this option. Can you explain to me better how you installed these and which mirrors you purchased?

See post #20 in this thread: P1000 - Mirrors

In my opinion, the search feature in this website software is not the most intuitive or user friendly I've seen but it is functional. If you search the forum for variations of "Honda Mirrors", "Honda Mirrors on Honda Soft Doors", you'll find a hundred or more posts on this subject. I know of no magic routes to finding the ones discussing the solution I used other than slogging through all of them.

As I have explained in earlier posts, I did not design or fabricate the brackets. A highly skilled metal fabricator friend made them for himself and generously gave me a set. His design is not patented and he has given me permission to post photos of his simple, clever, and very functional design. The fabricator does not object to anyone copying his design.

I can tell you the brackets work great. Mother Honda should copy and sell his design with their mirrors. Mine are OEM quality. They are strong and durable. The brackets do not vibrate, shake, or allow the mirrors to move.

I designed a mirror/lightbar bracket for the Honda pioneer 1000 lineup. Its called the A-Pod HSD and is avaliable at ghost rocks off road.

Did you buy the brackets or did you fab them yourself. Any info would be appreciated. Your installation looks great!!
A friend who is a skilled fabricator made a set for me. It's all covered in previous posts with photos and discussion. Search here in the forum.
