I am debating on what size Mudbusters to get for my 700-2, my front tires are 27 x 9 x 12 on stock rims and stick out about 1 1/2 inches at top of flare but about 3 1/2 inches at the bottom. My rears are even with bedside so that is not an issue. If you have Mudbusters either size could you measure at top where color fender goes into black door surround and also at bottom to see how far out they go. Cost is the same but I don't want it to be any wider than necessary as I do not like the look of flares covering thin air.

Thanks hondapro. The first photo shows it all. The Mudbusters website shows regular to be 2 1/4 and extended is 3 1/4 in the area you measured. . Since you have extended that measure out 2 1/2 I definitely need the extended.

I see in your last photo you have reflective sheeting between your seat bottom and backseat. Does it quieten it down any or was it just for heat control? I am waiting on a 48 x 12 piece of neoprene rubber to come in to fill that gap between my seat bottom and Honda soft rear window.

Its mostly for heat control.

Great photos of the heat barrier project. I use mine mostly for hunting so I am placing the rubber to fill the gap between soft rear window and seat base to keep water from splashing up on my butt. If I do ride in summer and it appears to be "hot" I will copy your idea. I have heard the 4 seater gets hotter as all the plastic blocks wind flow out the back.

I would for sure get the extended set, you can kinda adjust the to the width you need when you are installing them. There is only one pre drilled hole in them if I remember correctly. I would say mine are installed about as narrow as you can get them.
The shield under the seat is there to try to keep some of the heat away, It also works well to keep the steam from coming up between the seat.
