I’m thinking about ordering a set of mudbusters for my 1000-5. I plan on running a 28x10x14 tire on aftermarket rims. Should I stick to the standard size or go with the XL rears? I see that the xl is an extra 1-1.25 inches. I just don’t want them to stick out too far and look out of place. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I have a Pioneer 1000-5 running 28x10x14 Roctane tires with 5+2 offset on all four corners and rear one inch spacers. My Mudbuster XLs came in last week but I have not installed them as of today. The reason I purchased the xl is to keep mud from being throw in the back of the unit and the back of my head. I hope to install tonight so I can send pictures and totally width when finished.

I had Mud Busters on my former Honda Pioneer 700 and they work extremely well in keeping mud contained....

I installed the XL. I really like them. As mentioned earlier helps to keep the mud from coming up into back seats. I also have 1.5" spacers on the rear wheels. They tires are just inside the mud guards now.

I got a set off eBay and they didn't fit worth a hoot, had to re drill some holes and do a little triming.
Next time I will use the Mud Buster's brand.
