P500 My 2023 just arrived

Wasn't too crazy about the change in the panels, but its starting to grow on me. Just received an email from our local dealer, who told me the 2023s will start shipping in May. I placed my order for a new Pioneer 520 on March 18 2022. Sucks to live in Chinada.

Mine has a build date of March 2023, so they apparently ship quickly after build. My dealer was scheduled to receive a 2022 in April, but instead received this 2023.

PSA for anyone looking at a 2023 520, the new colored fenders and side panels aren't gloss. They are molded out of the same plastic the old black plastic was, so the finish is matte.

Are there any mechanical changes from 2022? I bought a 2022 Service/Shop manual a while ago is why I ask. Thanks.

I have that ready to install thanks to info on this forum. Also thanks to this forum:

Honda roof
Glass windshield with wiper and ceramic UV blocking tint film
Nerf Bars
Rear bumper
Turn signal kit
Mirrors
Primary gearset to reduce cruising RPM
Additional acoustic sound dampening
15"x 7.5" polished aluminum wheels (tires TBD, but probably Blizzaks) for snow and ice on pavement, but mostly daily pavement driving. Saving stock wheels and tires for easy offroading in Colorado

and on the shelf to experiment with.....
Honda 450R muffler and headpipe plus stainless exhaust tubing to fit in series with P520 silencer

Great start on the add-ons. Just to give you either some insight or inspiration on what may be in store for you...🤣

Might be a silly question but does the 23 520 have a solid rear drive with no differential? That's one of the big reason I sold my 700...tore up my driveway and yard hated that!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss it some times but would get another if it had a diff/...what was Honda thinking????????

It's just me in the thing...maybe an ATV instead. I have a little Honda 2 wheel drive and I have never gotten stuck and went the same places my Polaris 700 did....just doesn't haul much. 520 seems the right answer size wise. I 3 Honda motorcycles and I like the brand a lot...just sold my 4th CRV...got a Kia Soltice and love it too.

Get it vinyl wrapped in camo or don't worry about it, my dad has killed a ton from bright orange Kubota, he has mobility issues. Shot a 10 point last year that came within 10 yards

Red is good. Deer can not recognize it! Being stealthier and faster makes red running them over much easier.

Hahaha! Too funny! I’m duck hunting and they sadly see color. And they are harder to run over
