Hi! I've been reading this forum for information and I can't believe how much there is!
Just got an OTD price for a 2016 Silver 1000-5 deluxe of $16754.00 from an out of town dealer that beat my local price by $2000.(2 hours away)
Is there enough reason to stay local to pass this deal in your opinion?
Trying to do the right thing.

Welcome from Nashville tn. Get a written quote from the out of town dealer and take it to the local dealer as ask him if he can beat it. If not oh well, it's his loss and buy it from the out of town dealer.

Now comes question # 2.......is a 5.5 x 10 trailer the correct size to haul it on, or should I go larger for better weight distribution?

I would get at least a 6 foot wide trailer just in case you plan on putting different tires on it in the future. It will also give you a little bit of extra room so you don't ram the side of the trailer when driving up.

I'm using a 6 1/2 foot wide trailer and really wouldn't want to go anymore narrow than that.

This picture shows the vehicle on a 6.5 x 10

I drove out of town to get mine. I believe in buying local but they were alot higher. And they all pay the same price for them.

I went to my local dealer, told him I would rather buy from him but he would have to do better on $$$$$.
After humming and hawing he came down in price and threw in ("scratched") top and I came out better.
He delivered it last night @ 8:00pm!

A cousin of mine moved to Mt. Vernon recently, haven't checked it out but heard reports of beautiful country.
Yep, Mt. Vernon borders Fayette.. It also borders Parker pond. It is beautiful. I miss it. Spent many a winter in my ice shack catching Landlocked Salmon and Brookies.
