P500 New motor

My motor is knocking where can I get a rebuilt or new motor…dealer wants $8700 to rebuild thanks 2018

It was babied… had the oil changed put about 100 miles on fresh service when I pulled the dipstick after the ride it was dry …no leaks no idea where the oil went

by chance can they rebuild? I think you need to ship yours for a core anyway....

I got a shop getting me a quote for rebuild but I was wanting to explore all my options…dealer said they would rebuild it but the 8700 is more then I paid for the unit new

thats an incredible amount, I see nflow does them as well.....

honda sells new talon 1000 crate engines for $8500......

I found them…but didn’t see the 500 just the 1000 and 700

$8700 would buy new everything, cases included. Thats nuts

Where are you located??is this something you’ve done before??

my buddies would do it for cost of parts, a couple of 30 packs of natural lite, bottle of JD and a cord of hardwood for the garage stove

Good grief those prices seem insane. I completely built a 500 hp Chevrolet LSV8 for much less than that and you can buy a GM crate engine for much less too. This just does not compute. LS3 430HP Long Block

100 miles on a fresh service - This is what I think happened, whoever changed the oil forgot to refill it. If it was the dealer, raise hell.
