OK so I just purchased a 2020 P1k3 base model. Going to pick it up next week after a couple of OEM accessories arrive and are installed.
My first question is are they still having a heat issues? If so, I will have to add the under-seat insulation along with a fan or two. My current machine has over 3200 miles on it and average speed is 7 mph seeing how all I do is hunt out of it so there will be A LOT of slow moving and not much air flow.
Here are my plans at this time, OEM roof and under dash storage, SATV flip up windshield, dual batteries, Tough Country deluxe front bumper with winch (undecided on brand), detachable winch on receiver hitch mount for rear, 814 shocks/spring setup, switch panel, interior lights, shifter cover, overhead gun rack, LEDs front and rear. I will make a custom rig rack for over the hood for my dogs. A-arm protectors and full skid plate, probably going with the ½” thick UHMW for the belly. Extend the vent lines.
I want to run Tusk Terrabite 30x10x14 on Tusk beadlocks but can I fit them without a lift or forward A-arms if I go with the 814 suspension? From what I can find they actually measure 29.25 I believe. I have 28s on my current machine and love them for what I do.
My next issue will be to make storage space for all the stuff I have in my X-Cab part of the Stampede I currently have. That is by biggest concern. Almost wish I could go with the P1k5 so that I could make the storage holes in the rear doors like I have seen on the forum but that bed is smaller than the P1k3. My bed will be full of a double decker dog box.
