Well it's not worth much... but being someone that's had an issue and in the grand scheme of things had a somewhat controlled failure. I was amazed how little time it took for the clutches to go when put into that perfect storm of a wrong situation.. I hadn't had a minutes issue and drove mine as has been advised here... up until the failure situation that is. They took less than 10 seconds and were gone... it was obvious they were slipping bad. A week later they out of know where quit to the point I can't make them slip and a week after that they start slipping again. The stopping and starting of he slipping is what gets me... I'm interested to see if the Honda fix would support and make sense of why mine went, came back and went again. If we're talking about some sort of orfice blockage then I can see the possibility.
Do you have the old clutch pack that failed?

OK Before it slips my mind ( clutch joke). I was a little taken aback at the...(aback ?..wtf) What the Hell Biff?! Hey y'all I was a little surprised how my Deluxe shifts when I first got it a few months ago. At what mph are your machine shifting. I haven't had anything to compare it to.

Sale rep told us a product update for 16 and 17 clutches is coming soon. Similar to cabin heat fix. There is a small orifice in the engine that spray the clutches with oil and any contamination to that orifice causes it to spray oil in a different direction then onto the clutches. Which in turn causes them to slip and burn. Im assuming itll be a bigger orifice or maybe directed more towards the clutches. More info when available.
1800 miles on my clutch started slipping yesterday it dropped off to shop two weeks left on warranty I bought the honda on reputation very disappointing hope gets an update, way to much invested, some how don't think there much training for dealers mechanics.

That's what I'm afraid of. Just make sure they give you the box with all the extra parts left over after they button 'er up! Glad to see that the timeline for your failure worked in your favor. Many have not been so lucky. I'm mothballing my rig as much as possible until my dealer gets a few other clutch replacements done. I'm glad I opted for the 4 year unlimited mile warranty. I got time!

I bought my warranty when I bought my machine in December, 2016. This was before Honda realized they had a clutch problem coming. I paid $640.00 but I've heard that the price has since doubled.

$640 for an additional 3 years? So a total of 4 including the factory 1 Year.

That's correct. Unlimited miles except for clutches. Honda warranty is only good for the first replacement (or so I hear).

Yep, mine stalled out last weekend when I got into a spot where I could not hammer down to get out of. Reminded me on stalling out when I was first learning to drive my 3 speed jeep

I had the same experience a couple of times this past weekend

The dealer I bought my machine from quoted me something similar to yours. Hell on there website it shows list price for extended warranty which was around 600 if I recall
